In essence, functional training focuses on making our bodies and minds the most powerful tools we have, allowing us to face life head-on and tackle all challenges either in our group training classes or one to one personal training.
The foundational movements:
• Hinge: Picking things up in the safest way possible.
• Squat: Standing and sitting.
• Lunge: Walking and running.
• Push: Pushing weight or objects away from the body.
• Pull: Pulling weight or objects towards the body.
• Carry: To Build core strength to aid in better stability and support of our spines.
• Rotation: Such as throwing, swinging or changing direction.
Our training incorporates all of the above in various forms, structures, and variations. This includes exercises like deadlifting, bench pressing, split squats, and pull ups, to name a few. Additionally, we emphasize cardiovascular health to build a strong engine, improve heart health, enabling you to walk, run, row, ski, and bike to the best of your abilities without restriction.
